Owner reunited with wad of cash

According to Kalispell Police, a good Samaritan returned a missing wallet to a very appreciative owner, according to police. The man found the wallet in the gutter and it contained a large amount of cash and credit cards. He brought it to police, who got it to the owner.

When police investigated a 911 hangup call, they learned from a 2-year-old boy’s mother he had accidentally dialed the digits. Police could hear a child in the background, the woman answered all their questions and nothing out of the ordinary was heard.

A man reported that someone entered his unlocked truck and stole his wallet, bear spray, Leatherman tool, phone charger and other items.

A man reported that a note threatening to kill him was left on the windshield of his truck.

Someone called to report that kids in a truck have been hanging out and tearing up the ground by mud-bogging in a vacant lot, but the truck had become stuck.

Someone called to report that she believed $500 had been stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked at an area business. The woman called later to report she had found her money.

A person called to report a man in a Camero was circling a parking lot at an area business yelling “I’m gonna get you. You made the biggest mistake.” Police investigated and reported everything was OK.

A person reported that there was a man acting strangely. The person was concerned about him smoking in a wooded area.

Someone reported he was being harassed by a group of teens in a vehicle.

A person called to report phishing phone calls being made to hotel guests and the public.

The Whitefish Police Department responded to a bicycle versus vehicle accident at Edgewood Plaza, where an 11-year-old boy was taken to the hospital. Police report the boy had a small cut on his head and bruises. The bleeding was under control. The driver of the vehicle called in the accident.

A woman gave birth in a black Suburban in the parking lot of an area business, according to a birthing center medic who reported the incident.

A person called in reporting a man near City Hall who appeared to be under the influence. He was asking people if they had found a dog.

A woman called police to report her ex-boyfriend has allegedly been stalking her and calling her nonstop using different phones. She believed he was outside her residence last night because her dog was barking at 3 a.m. She asked that police tell him to stop. Police will increase patrols in the area.
