Myron A. “Woody” Woodward “began eternal life” on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Welcoming him home were his son, Rick, and grandson Trenton. Born on the May 9, 1936 to Myron and Margaret Woodward in Harlem, Montana, Woody’s life was full: 1954 Havre High graduate, 1954-57 United States Marine Corps, 1958 married the love of his life Betty Reed, four children (Ricky, Anita, Michael, Kelly), 30-year career with Buttery Food Stores, co-owner of a grocery store, manager of Ryan’s Cash & Carry, and helping at Dave’s Insulation. Lots of love, laughter and friendship was shared throughout each season of his life.

Myron and Betty spent 59 blessed years together! Their love impacting generations through their children, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Husband, Dad, Grandpa Woody or Great Grandpa…. In each role he walked with great love and immense integrity. Marking each heart with rich, precious memories! After retiring, Woody and Betty spent several winters in the Arizona sun. During summer months, Woody loved caring for the landscape of their home in Kalispell, keeping it immaculate! In August of 2017 Woody became a resident of the Special Care Unit at the Montana Veterans Home in Columbia Falls. He was in the tender and loving care of a great staff! His smile contagious and his humor alive, he kept them on their toes still being the “manager” and keeping things ship-shape! Forever will Woody’s family be grateful for these incredible caregivers!

Those who remain to carry on Woody’s godly inheritance are his wife, Betty, son Michael (Paula), daughters Anita (Dan) Shipley, Kelly (David) Kiehn and Beth Woodward. Also, his beloved grandchildren, great-grands, and sisters: Marion, Mercine, Beverly and Victoria.

Throughout his life Woody was a quiet man of faith, but his life spoke loudly! Sharing the love of Jesus in his deep love of others, his impact on their lives, his helping hand always extended, and the “father” figure he became to so many!

A Celebration of Life for “A life well-lived” will be held on May 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Glacier Church, 690 Grandview Drive, Kalispell.
