Ralph B. DeSteunder, 92

| April 29, 2018 4:00 AM

Ralph Bennie DeSteunder of Columbia Falls passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018. He was born Sept. 21, 1925 in California. He lived with family until enlisting in the Navy at age 17. He served his country during WWII in the Asiatic-Pacific. He left the Navy at age 22 and became a masonry contractor which eventually brought him to Lake Tahoe, where he met and married Inge. They moved to Montana in 1976 and enjoyed the Flathead Valley and their final home. The couple was together for 58 years until Inge’s passing.

Ralph was a “jack of all trades,” and loved helping and fixing projects for family and friends. Hunting and fishing trips were favorite family memories. Independent to his last day, he took pride in his home and his yard.

We will miss his smile and humor, but he’s united with his wife and at peace.

Darlington Cremation and Burial Service is caring for Ralph’s family.
