A caller to the Whitefish Police Department said there were drunk Canadians shooting off fireworks in the Mountain Park Loop area.
Another caller said someone had defecated on a hillside near Miles Avenue where transients were camping. The caller asked an officer to tell them to leave because there are many vacationing families in the area. An officer cleaned up the scene and found evidence of people camping there, but there was no one at the spot at the time.
A house sitter called the Kalispell Police Department to report the teenage daughter of the homeowner broke into the home and trashed it after a booze and weed party. The teens also took the vehicle that was parked at the home.
A man called to report he left his cell phone on a bench in front of the bus depot. An officer didn’t find it when he checked.
Two dogs, one a pitbull and one a rottweiler, both described as friendly, were picked up by their owners after an employee at a business corraled them.
A person who was sitting outside eating his lunch called to report what appeared to be a passed-out woman laying on the curb. When an officer checked, she told him she had been in argument with a friend and she was waiting on her dad to come pick her up.
A man reported that an unknown person stole his golf clubs.
A mother called about a tractor trailer that had cut her off, which resulted in her 9-year-old son hitting his head and cutting his mouth.
A caller reported hearing a man and a woman yelling and screaming and then a thud. When an officer spoke to the woman, she reported the disagreement was not physical.
A mother asked for an officer to stop and speak to her unruly 7-year-old daughter. She said the child wouldn’t listen to her and ran from the apartment.
A parks employee reported that when he tried to get a transient person to move from his perch on a picnic table, the man yelled at him. When an officer arrived, the transient left.
A woman wanted to report a man for assault after they were in a disagreement. She said she threw her lipstick at him and he then reportedly pushed her out of her vehicle and left in it.
An officer attempted to contact a woman who had been bit by her sister’s cat.
A man reported someone stole checks and license plates from the back of his unlocked vehicle.
Someone reported that squatters had returned to a home he was trying to sell through a dog door in the rear of the home.
A caller to the Columbia Falls Police Department said there were two teenagers walking through the area taking photos of people and houses. The caller thought it was sketchy. An officer didn’t locate anyone after investigating.
