Susan McCuin, 52
Susan Kimberly Custer McCuin passed away on Aug. 8, 2018, in Kalispell.
She was born in Missoula on July 19, 1966. In her childhood years, she attended schools in the Missoula County Public School system, including Sentinel and Big Sky.
After high school, Sue moved to Seattle where she spent many years and had occupations in modeling, retail and construction. In 1998, she returned to Missoula where she began a successful career in sales. She thrived with her proximity to her family, including her grandmother, mother, sister and brother-in-law, niece and nephew.
In 2002, her work took Sue to Kalispell where she met her future husband, Brian McCuin. After falling in love, they married on July 8, 2005, at St. Matthew’s Church. Together, Sue and Brian enjoyed traveling, attending Griz football games, singing karaoke and spending time with family and friends.
Business successes allowed Sue the opportunity to travel extensively and enjoy world-renowned fishing, one of her passions. She also enjoyed gardening and took meticulous care of her impressive flower garden. Sue loved and spoiled her pets, Gypsy, Rodney, Patti and Daisy, beyond description. She was a kind, honest, genuine person who truly cherished giving more than receiving. Unequaled were Sue’s generosity and vibrance; her laugh could fill any room and open any door. Sue’s smile, compassion and humor were contagious and could brighten anyone’s day. Inside and out, Sue was beautiful, with a kind heart and an old soul. Her greatest gift was her innate ability to love everyone, unconditionally. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Susan is survived by her husband, Brian; her parents, Elaine Custer of Missoula, and Bob and Sherry Custer of Bonney Lake, Washington; her sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Alan Powell of Missoula; her brother, Brian Custer, and his partner, Rob Osler, of San Francisco; her niece, Ashley McGrath (Carter), of Helena; her nephew, Tyler Powell, of Missoula; her uncle, Roger Biniek (Nancy), of Cut Bank; father-in-law, Terry McCuin, of Kalispell; and nephew, Bradley McCuin, of Phoenix.
