Good Samaritan pays attention to fire warnings

A good Samaritan called the Kalispell Police Department to report a man on a motorcycle threw a lit cigarette before pulling into a gas station. She ran over it with her car tire to extinguish it before it became a bigger problem.

A caller reported a man was slumped over the wheel of a vehicle and was holding up traffic. It turned out the driver was fine, but had run out of gas.

Someone reported a woman riding a turquoise-colored bicycle had invited herself into the caller’s home. She eventually left, but the caller was concerned about her behavior.

A casino employee reported a man who entered the building and appeared to be “on something.” He was acting disruptive and tried to start fights. The caller thought he participated in a drug deal.

A nurse reported a woman lying on the pavement next to a silver vehicle. When she tried to talk to the woman, a man said the woman was fine. The nurse thought there was something wrong, but when an officer investigated, he learned the woman was engaging in a spiritual exercise.

A caller said she wanted to get items out of her boyfriend’s apartment. The boyfriend had just climbed through the window, but locked his girlfriend out. She wasn’t able to get her things and asked for help.

Someone reported her neighbor was driving on her lawn with the music blaring and also flipped them off. The caller said there had been continual harassment.

A bartender wanted a man removed because he was drunk. He said the man’s girlfriend might have picked him up.

A man called to report his wife slammed his laptop shut while he was using it and she also pushed him. The man’s parents later arrived to take him somewhere else.

A caller said a woman continued to park in the lot and left her two young kids alone in the vehicle. When an officer investigated, the woman said the father of the kids had bought the vehicle from someone and had seized the plates. She was advised about leaving her kids in the vehicle alone.

A man called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report someone had driven through his yard with a big truck and a big camper. The man was very drunk and was told to call back when he was sober. He reported a light was destroyed and that he had it on video.

A caller reported the neighbors were having a fire every night despite the fire restrictions. They agreed to put the fire out following a conversation with a deputy.
