Clarence Hedge, 82

Clarence Hedge, 82, died peacefully Aug. 20, 2018, at his home in Columbia Falls of natural causes.

He was born on Oct. 2, 1935, in Havre to Dewey and Lorraine Hedge. He had four sisters, Janice, Sadie, Sherry, Flora and Norma. He had three brothers, Marvin, Dennis and Duane. He moved to the Flathead Valley at a young age.

Clarence fought for our country in the Korean War. In 1965 he married Donna Joy. In 1968 they moved to Columbia Falls. Clarence worked at Columbia Falls Aluminum Company for 30 years, retiring in 1998.

He enjoyed camping and fishing and, until 18 months ago, Clarence was actively bowling in multiple leagues.

Clarence is survived by his wife Donna Hedge, daughter Joy Trottier, sister Flora Lind, grandchildren

Jake, Tanner, Annie and Brandon, and two great-grandchildren Blake and Maddox, all of Flathead Valley. Clarence’s brother Dennis still lives with his wife Ruthie in Troy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Clarence was preceded in death by his daughter Linda and his son Bill.

On Sept. 3 at 3 p.m. at Glacier Lanes in Columbia Falls, there will be a memorial gathering where we throw one last ball for Clarence. All friends and family are welcome to come and share a memory or two of Clarence.
