No. 25633 The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC), Stillwater Unit is proposing the Swift Divide Timber Sale approximately 14 miles northeast of Olney, Flathead County, Montana, in the northeast portion of the Stillwater State Forest. The proposal would harvest 2-5 million board feet from approximately 640 acres within a 3,100-acre project area, and generate revenue for the Common Schools Trust. The Montana DNRC invites written comments and suggestions concerning this proposal. No. 25627 CALL FOR BID Notice is hereby given that the Flathead County Solid Waste District Board will receive bids for the purchase of ONE (1) used, Track Type Tractor Tier 4 with V PAT blade or equivalent. Complete and operational for the Flathead County Solid Waste District. A copy of the Track Type Tractor Tier 4 with V PAT blade or equivalent specifications are attached along with instructions to bidders, and contract documents for this equipment. If a bidder has any questions, they can contact Jim Chilton, Operations Manager at (406) 758-5773. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of his bid to secure the bidder's express covenant that if the bidder is awarded the contract, the bidder will, within ten (10) days, enter into a formal contract for the purchase and sale of said equipment. Bid security shall be payable to Flathead County and shall be in the form of lawful money of the United States; a cashier's check, certified check, bank money order, or bank draft issued by a Montana bank, or bid bond executed by a surety corporation authorized to do business in Montana. Where bids and quality of product are comparable, preferences will be given to equipment of Montana production and to Montana resident bidders over non-residents, if an appropriate affidavit under Section 18-1-113, M.C.A., accompanies the bid. The bidder shall include with the bid a contract form to be executed by the parties. The District reserves the right to negotiate the terms of said proposed contract (excluding prices contained therein) and to consider the terms of said proposed contract in determining the award of bid. All sealed bids, plainly marked "SEALED BID - TRACK TYPE TRACTOR" must be in the hands of the Flathead County Solid Waste District, 4098 US Hwy 93 N., Kalispell, Montana 59901, on or before 1:00 o'clock p.m., on September 7, 2018. Bids will be opened and read shortly thereafter on September 7, 2018 in the Solid Waste District Office, 4098 US Hwy 93 N., Kalispell, Montana. No. 25624 NOTICE OF SALE Department of Natural Resources & Conservation Timber Sale The KM Ranch Fuels Timber Sale is located within Sections 26 and 35, T30N-R22W, on the State's Kalispell Unit. Approximately 8,445 tons, consisting of mixed conifer sawlogs, are offered for sale. Sealed bids will be opened at the Department of Natural Resources & Conservation, 2705 Spurgin Road, Missoula, Montana on September 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Bids may be hand delivered or mailed and will be accepted any time prior to the bid opening. DNRC recommends that bidders contact the Trust Land Management Division (406-542-4300) prior to the bid opening to ensure that your bid has been received. Bids must be accompanied by a deposit of $11,291.00, representing 5% of the minimum bid value of the sale in cashier's check, certified check, bank money order or bank draft to be applied to the first sale invoice for the successful bidder. Bid bonds will be accepted and, for the successful bidder, will be closed upon execution of the Timber Sale Contract and Timber Sale Bond. The sale will be awarded to the highest responsible bidder. Award of the timber sale is conditional upon approval of the timber sale by the State Board of Land Commissioners at their September 17, 2018 meeting. If the successful bidder is unable to execute the contract within 30 calendar days from the date the sale is awarded, the bid deposit will be retained by the Department as liquidated damages. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
