Children invited to audition for 'The Lion King Jr.'
Auditions for Alpine Theatre Project’s ATP Kids’ production of “The Lion King Jr.,” will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center.
Students in grades 1 through 8 are invited to audition for the production that will be held Oct. 21-22.
ATP Kids tuition is $120 and includes six weeks of after-school instruction and production; scholarships are available.
Callbacks will be held immediately after the auditions. All students will be given a small song to sing in groups or individually. No preparation needed, but bring your confidence and outgoing personality. Students will rehearse for six weeks with a staff of former Broadway actors after school.
Disney’s “The Lion King” has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world and now, for the first time ever, is available in educational productions. The African savannah comes to life on stage with Simba, Nala, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.
Students are taught by Alpine Theatre Project’s founding artists Betsi Morrison and Luke Walrath, both veteran Broadway actors.
