Car thief makes quick grocery run

According to a Kalispell Police report, a juvenile male reportedly stole a vehicle while its owner was inside a store. According to a witness, the boy was in another car before he hopped into the victim’s car and sped off when the owner went inside. The vehicle’s owner found the car parked in a grocery store parking lot a few minutes later, identifying it by the air freshener and dent on the side. The owner waited in front of his stolen vehicle in case the thief came back out of the store and waited for police to arrive. Police arrived moments later and arrested the alleged thief.

A group of five teenagers reportedly took multiple ornaments off a Christmas tree at the mall and smashed them before running off. The teens were apprehended and trespassed from the mall.

Two women reportedly got into an argument over a dog when a witness decided to call the police. One woman reportedly walked away with the dog and the other was left crying while the witness tried to talk to dispatch. When the caller asked the crying woman if she wanted to report the dog stolen, the woman reportedly said it wasn’t her dog. Upon arrival, an officer determined the crying woman was very intoxicated. Some friends picked her up to take her home.

A woman reportedly found her stolen vehicle in a parking lot. The woman said there was a purple pistol, an orange pocketknife and blue sword case inside but a car seat was reportedly missing out of the back. The vehicle was returned to the woman.

A driver reportedly hit a pedestrian with their car, causing the pedestrian to hit their windshield. The man was reportedly uninjured in the incident.

A woman reported a man in a blue Jeep with a dog in the back for hitting her vehicle then taking off. The woman was not injured and saw the man drive off toward a grocery store.
