Roger L. Chilcote, 81

Roger L. Chilcote, 81, passed away Dec. 7, 2018, from complications from a fall.

He was born on March 1, 1937, in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, to Elmer Chilcote and Helen (Gross) Chilcote. He was raised in Crivitz, Wisconsin, attending both elementary and high school there.

After graduation, he worked for a year at the loading docks in Chicago, moving to Quinnesec, Michigan, and working in a sewing factory and at Kingsford Chemical Company in Kingsford, Michigan.

On October 10, 1959, he married Margaret Meyer of Aurora, Wisconsin. To this union three daughters were born, Lynn Marie, Marcy Anne, and Susan Jean.

In 1961, he moved his family to Columbia Falls where he worked for Plum Creek Lumber and retired after 30 years. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was an active member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Columbia Falls for many years.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Brother Curtis, and his daughter, Lynn.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, and his two daughters, Marcy and Susan (Ed) Brill, and two granddaughters, Hannah (Jacob) Iske, and Beth Brill.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the First Baptist Church in Columbia Falls to be used for the multi-purpose kitchen.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 24 at the First Baptist Church in Columbia Falls. Interment will follow services at Woodlawn Cemetery.
