No. 25047 INVITATION TO BID CROW DAM SPILLWAY MODIFICATION PROJECT AREA 2 SOLICITATION/SPECIFICATIONS CSKT/SOD 18-01 The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes desire to enter in to a Construction Agreement with a general construction contractor to demolish, remove and rebuild the lower sections of the existing Crow Dam reinforced concrete spillway. The Crow Dam Spillway Modification Project - Area 2 is located at Crow Dam approximately six miles southwest of the town of Ronan on the Flathead Indian Reservation, MT. The existing emergency spillway for Crow Dam will be replaced with a new spillway constructed in two separate construction phases. The overall replacement project includes the demolition of the existing spillway structure and appurtenances and the construction of a piano key weir spillway crest, chute, and flip bucket along the same general alignment as the existing spillway. Construction of the spillway will require demolition of the existing spillway, excavation to accommodate the wider spillway channel and construction of a new, reinforced concrete lined spillway. The first phase of construction (Area 2) consists of replacement of the existing chute and stilling basin and replacing it with a new chute, flip bucket, and armored apron. The second phase (Area 3) consists of the replacement of the existing side-channel inlet structure and tunnel with a piano key weir spillway crest structure, sloped trough, and channel crossing beneath Crow Dam Road. This Contract only includes demolition and reconstruction of the lower portion of the spillway heretofore referred to as Area 2. Area 3 will be constructed in the future and is not part of this Contract.
