Daniel Raymond Scholz 66

Daniel Raymond Scholz 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends, Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at his home in Columbia Falls.

Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Raymond T. Scholz and Marie Louise Scholz, Dan lived the majority of his adult life in the Flathead Valley.

Dan proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War with honorable discharge.

Dan worked and excelled as a mechanic in the Flathead Valley, but hunting and fishing with family and friends was his true passion.

He is survived by his siblings, Rae Anne Olson, Trish “Patty” Becker, and Mary Anne Baker. He also leaves behind his daughter Bobi Jo Scholz, his two sons, Will and Dan Scholz, his four grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his oldest and best friend of 52-plus years Joe Busby.

He was loved and will be missed.

A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends in the spring.
