Debbie Ann Taylor, 62

Born July 7, 1955, in Yankton, South Dakota, Debbie passed quietly away at her home in Conrad, Montana, on Jan. 7, 2018.

Debbie was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Gregory Taylor, on June 3, 2015, and younger sister, Nanci Taylor, on June 3, 2016. She is survived by her loving friend and companion of 16 years, Kent Kyle; her father, Richard L. Taylor and mother Angela L. Taylor, of Columbia Falls; and sisters, Jennie Taylor and Kim Wiatrak. She leaves behind her adult children, Beau Zygmond, Chance Zygmond, and Alexandra Zygmond, their spouses and beautiful grandchildren.

Debbie moved to the scenic Flathead Valley with her parents and brother when she was 8 years old. She graduated from Columbia Falls High School and Montana State University-Bozeman, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Debbie lived and worked as a registered nurse in Hawaii, Texas and Montana, which is where her heart was always most happy and at home. She dearly loved her family, her dog Chester, a good witty joke and a bottomless glass of iced tea, which she was never without.

Debbie is remembered for her compassion and charity with the veterans she cared for at the Veterans Home in Columbia Falls, and for her warm generous smile. She made Christmas a special time for our home and for the many veterans she invited in over the years, whether to share the warmth of a family holiday meal or recall their individual stories and memories.

Gone from this earth and our lives much too soon. Rest in eternal peace, dear Debbie.

A Catholic Mass will be held at St. Richard’s Catholic Church in the spring with a celebration of her life to follow. An announcement will be forthcoming.
