Daniels, Calaway 3rd in Super G races at Big Sky

BIG SKY — Mikaela Daniels, Burke Fox and Ian Calaway led competitors from the Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation with two top 5 finishes apiece at the Big Sky Super G race series on Feb. 3-4.

Daniels, competing in the girls U16 division, finished fourth and third, respectively, in the two races held on Saturday.

In the boys U14 division, Fox finished fifth in his Saturday race and fourth on Sunday, while Calaway checked in third on Saturday and fourth on Sunday in the U16 class.

Helena Croise (fifth in women’s U19) and Colin Harper (third in boys U16) also picked up top 5 finishes.

The U16 and older teams travel to Bridger Bowl for a competition on Feb. 23-25, while the U14 and younger head to Helena on Feb. 24-25.
