On Saturday, March 10, conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza will speak in Bigfork, in an event hosted by the Last Chance Patriots and the Flathead Republican Central Committee.

Retired filmmaker and Bigfork resident Jerry Molen, who won an Academy Award for his work as producer of Schindler’s List, has been working to organize the event. “We’re just delighted to have him come up here and speak to all those that want to attend,” he told the Daily Inter Lake. “I think people will be not only amazed but thrilled to hear what he has to say.”

Molen said D’Souza will likely focus on his most recent book, “The Big Lie,” which claims that the “Democratic left has an ideology virtually identical with fascism and routinely borrows tactics of intimidation and political terror from the Nazi Brownshirts.”

D’Souza has made strong allegations against the American left in his other recent books and films, including “Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party,” “America: Imagine the World Without Her,” and “2016: Obama’s America.” He has published a total of 17 books since 1991, on topics ranging from higher education, to religion, to the life of Ronald Reagan.

Molen produced the film versions of “Hillary’s America, America, and 2016.” He predicts that D’Souza’s “got a lot to say and I think people will be not only amazed, but thrilled, to hear what he has to say.”

The event will take place at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the event will begin at 6. Seating is limited. Tickets cost $100. To make reservations or for more information, email Caroline Solomon at lcp59911@gmail.com.
