Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson will be a guest speaker at Stillwater Christian School’s banquet in Kalispell later this spring.

“We are very excited to have Russell Wilson join us for this year’s event and believe that Russell Wilson is an inspiration to many of our youth,” Stillwater Head Master Dan Makowski stated in a press release. “His football achievements provide a platform to share the importance of his faith.”

The event, titled “For Such A Time As This” is on May 2 at the Flathead County Trade Center. A private reception will be followed by the banquet.

Russell Wilson has a number of achievements in his football career. In 2012 he led the University of Wisconsin to the Big Ten title and a Rose Bowl victory. He was awarded the NFL’s Rookie of the Year in 2012 and followed that by leading the Seahawks to consecutive Super Bowls in 2013 and 2014, winning Seattle’s first championship in 2013.

According to the Stillwater press release, Wilson is also a man of faith who sees a purpose for himself beyond football.

“In terms of my faith I believe I’m here for a reason,” Wilson told the Christian Broadcasting Network. “I believe God placed me in this city for a reason. That never wavers for me, I’m going to trust that the Lord’s put me here.
