An anxious mother told police that a dog, possibly a golden retriever, reportedly ran up to the sidewalk and scared her and her daughter by barking, but that it did not hurt either one of them or leave its property. Kalispell Police Department told the mother no ordinances were broken and advised her to walk on the other side of the street past the house. The dog’s owner told police she would keep the dog inside when kids were walking to school and that it did have a shock collar.

A woman reported that she gave a man money for a pizza fundraiser supposedly benefiting a local athletic program, but was concerned about potential fraud because she “has not heard anything about her pizza.”

Three horses made a run for it and traversed down Three Mile Drive, making their way onto a bypass ramp.

A bar employee wanted a man with delusions of grandeur to be removed from the premises for the night after he reportedly tried to fight everyone in the bar.

A dismayed resident in an apartment building told police that a rowdy teen reportedly cursed at him or her and other teens were slamming doors and yelling. An officer made contact with four older teens in an apartment advising them to keep the noise down. The group was supposedly cat-sitting.

A man was discovered sleeping in his car by someone who lived nearby an apartment building. The man supposedly couldn’t provide a reason as to why he was sleeping there despite alleging he lived in the neighborhood. The person calling in the report claimed the unfamiliar car had been running for more than six hours.

A stolen vehicle reportedly ran into a motor home, damaging both vehicles.

A Kalispell man dialed 911 on accident by pushing a wrong button and assured dispatchers he was OK by stating he was a 94-year-old and “tough as a nail.”

A woman in Lakeside told officers that a bartender was reportedly “allowing a lot of hinky business to happen.” The woman told Flathead County Sheriff’s Office an unknown man had been shot at her house last week and wanted a phone call to discuss it. The woman also reportedly said she heard six shots recently and thought the noises were transformers blowing, but alleged that guns were always going off near the bar and that the bartender allowed a man to do that. The manager reportedly gave warnings to the bartender and suspect.

An employee on Grayling Road in Lakeside reported that someone had cut a lock on a trailer located on a job site and stole approximately $2,000 worth of tools.

Someone on Whale Creek Road in Polebridge reported $50 worth of gas stolen from a snowmobile trailer.

A Wildcat Road mailbox in Kalispell may have been used for target practice when a resident got home to find it pitted full of holes and a shotgun shell lying on the ground. The person said the shot-up mailbox had been singled out from a row of mailboxes.

A burglary was reported in Kila when someone found the front door to a neighbor’s house had allegedly been kicked in.

Officers responded to a tip in Columbia Falls regarding a photo posted on social media of a male allegedly with a rope around his neck and one foot off a stool with the caption “one step away from having all my questions answered.” It turned out that no actual suicide attempt was made. The male reportedly said the photo was staged with a sibling’s assistance, and was artwork to express his feelings. Although the male’s mother corroborated the incident was not an actual suicide attempt the boy did speak with mental health personnel.

Someone wanted Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office to check on a woman allegedly seen walking around in her bathrobe to make sure things were OK.

Officers responded to a parole violation and made an arrest after someone reported a barefoot and shirtless man had been kicked out of a house and may have been involved in an assault.
