David Allen Leger, 65

| January 24, 2018 10:17 PM

David Allen Leger, 65, of Kalispell, passed away Jan. 20, 2018.

Dave discovered America on March 21, 1952, and the place hasn’t been the same since. He was born in Akron, Ohio, and then the family moved to East Helena before he started school. He received his education in East Helena, and his higher education consisted of about three days at Carroll College, after which he earned several advanced degrees from the school of hard knocks.

He worked at a farm store in Livingston for a few years before settling in the Kalispell area where he worked for UPS for 30 years. Dave had a green thumb and, after his retirement from UPS, he worked at Plantland, Hooper’s and the Conrad Mansion maintaining their landscaping. He found great pleasure in his own houseplants, landscaping and gardening.

He was a generous and caring person and, if you could count on him as a friend, you had something special.

He loved hunting, fishing, live music, travel, and anything to do with Montana.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lois and Harlow Leger, and his brother Rick Leger.

He left behind a sister Judith, and brother Gary, numerous nieces and nephews, and Dorothy Pruid and her family.

A gathering to remember Dave will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Conrad Mansion.

Friends are encouraged to visit the website, www.buffalohillfh.com, to leave notes of condolence for the family. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
