Alleged trespasser leaves his mark

Someone called the Whitefish Police Department to report a man standing in her driveway was talking to himself and “peed all over.” They said the man had been there for a while, and wanted an officer to come check him out.

An employee of an establishment called to say they had kicked out two customers but the customers were still within the immediate area and making “menacing gestures.” The reporting party told police that the shorter one was the one they really had to worry about.

A woman called to report she had hit a deer in front of Hidden Moose Lodge and it was injured and moving around in the middle of the road causing a traffic hazard. When authorities arrived, the deer was lying on the shoulder and appeared to be dead.

Another person called and then immediately hung up. When dispatch called them back, they said they wanted to report the theft of a red cooler with items in it from a storage unit. The crime had allegedly been committed at some point over the previous month.

A bouncer at a Whitefish bar called to say he had kicked a customer out but the person was lingering by the front door, and he may need law enforcement assistance.

Two people called to question why their trash cans had been tagged when they swore they had been putting them in the same place for a long time now.

A power line emergency was reported on Wisconsin Avenue in Whitefish.
