Tipsy cyclists nearly crash cab

A taxi driver called the Whitefish Police Department to report a man and a woman, who he said had been drinking and were riding bicycles, swerved into traffic and he nearly hit one of them.

A person called to report the theft of a large Fuschia plant from their yard. It appeared that someone cut the lock before taking it.

A caller reported her neighbor raised her fists at her and claimed she stole her cat. The caller backed away and went back to her residence.

A person called to ask for someone to come and get a dog that had been barking all morning to shut up.

A small black bear walked across a man’s yard, prompting a woman who was visiting him to call 911. She said the man seemed unconcerned about the bruin’s presence.

A person called about a neighbor’s cat that has been using their “doggie door.” The caller said the people don’t allow the cat to come inside and are now accusing her of trying to steal the cat.

A man working in a bar reported breaking up a fight between two other men. The men had left before police arrived.

A woman called to say she was threatened at work by a male transgender person. She said he was being verbally and physically abusive.

A woman reported her ex-husband disabled the garage door so she couldn’t get in to park. She also said he had been threatening her daughter that is living at the residence this summer.

A person called to ask for a tour of the police department because her 5-year-old foster son thinks all cops are bad and want him to go to jail.

A neighbor called to report a bunch of teenagers were shooting off fireworks for more than a half an hour. An officer determined the teen’s parents were out of town. They agreed to stop.

A woman reported someone came on to her property, slept in her camper, used the bathroom and left a cigarette there, too.

A man was ordered to leave a store in the mall after a caller said he was coming in and harassing the caller’s daughter and other employees. The man did not purchase anything, but made comments that were sexual in nature.

A woman called to request an officer accompany her to her residence because her father just got out of jail and may be at the home.

A man came to the Kalispell Police Department to report his 9-year-old son had shoplifted from a store. He took his son back to the store to return the item and spoke to the manager. The man also wanted an officer to speak to his son about what could happen to him if he did it again.

A caller had questions about her son’s assault. She said a temporary restraining order hadn’t been issued against the neighbor and her son was afraid to stay at the apartment. She was told to call and speak to the original investigating officer.

A man called to seek help for his aunt, who he said was scammed out of $4,000.

A caller reported a young man in his mid-20s wearing a tan cowboy hat and black leather jacket was asked to leave an establishment after he dropped a marijuana pipe on the dance floor. He then went outside and threw something, a glass or rock, through a window.

A man was apparently stabbed twice by another man who tried to break into his house. The assailant was described as wearing a black coat with several zippers on the front. The victim didn’t lose consciousness and did go to the hospital for treatment.
