Jonathan Adolf Krause, 73

Jonathan Adolf Krause, 73, passed peacefully of natural causes at his BeeHive home.

Jon was born to Harry and Dorothy Krause on Jan. 9, 1945. He “went to be with the Lord” on July 1, 2018.

Jon grew up in the Mountain Brook community east of Kalispell, graduated from Flathead High School in 1963, and then attended college at University of Idaho for several years. Jon served his country in the Army National Guard.

Jon always liked the outdoors. He loved his red Corvette, 360 Husky race bike, racing stock cars, driving a skidder or D8 Caterpillar.

Jon taught at the Mountain Brook School, was involved in building construction and contracting, yew bark harvesting, sawmill owner operator and wholesale lumber sales. He had a great love for trees and worked at logging, tree farming and wood crafting.

Jon is survived by two brothers, David Krause of Dallesport, Wash-ington, and Harry (Hal) Krause of Kalispell; three nephews Ryan Krause, Warren Krause and Brandon Krause, and a niece Stacia Krause Stojanoff. He was proceeded in death by his parents and a sister, Judy Krause.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 400 W. California St., Kalispell. A luncheon will follow at the church.

His ashes will be placed alongside of his mother, father, grandmother, grandfather and sister at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
