Grenade scare just an old firework

A woman called the Kalispell Police Department after she believed she had found a grenade in her trash can. She put it on the ground next to the can in the alley. An officer determined it was a burned firework.

Someone called about a man yelling at a woman outside a local business. She walked away while he followed her in his truck and continued to yell at her. After an officer spoke to the couple, he learned they were arguing over one of them getting lost in the store.

A father who caught his daughter with marijuana took her pipe and split it in half. He was going to ask for help from police before he decided to handle it himself.

A caller reported a man who appeared to use a large knife to get into a gray Chevy Impala.

A woman who was yelling and beating on a truck said her ex-husband locked her out of the vehicle and left her stranded in the parking lot. She said she didn’t need any help from police.

A woman called to report she heard fire alarms after neighbors had moved out and was worried there was a fire inside the house. After the Kalispell Fire Department entered the home, it was determined there was no fire.

A woman called to report her brother-in-law was harassing her and threatening to take her to court for not paying him back for a battery that he bought her. The woman said she is pregnant, lives out of her car and can’t afford to pay him back.

A caller asked for someone from the Columbia Falls Police Department to come pick up a suitcase that was sitting in front of an area business. The person didn’t believe it was suspicious.

A man called because he needed a ride to the animal shelter to turn over a vicious dog that his nephew had given him. The dog then attacked the person’s other dog.

A caller said a man officers had taken home earlier was now texting her death threats. She said the man was a known drug offender and had resisted police in the past.

A person came to the police department to report two truck drivers throwing beer cans at each other.

A person was arrested for driving under the influence after a stop on Talbot Road. Three others were cited and released.

A caller requested assistance for a man who said he had a methamphetamine addiction. An officer later took the man to the emergency room.
