Thirteen players and one coach representing six area schools will participate in the 5th Annual Veterans Memorial Softball Classic at the Belgrade Softball Complex on Aug. 3-4.

There are five teams — all named after a branch of the military — with 12 players per team.

Glacier has four players competing — Kynzie Mohl, Sophie Smith, Alivia Atlee and Addie Labrum — one four different teams.

Polson has three selections — Kaylanna Desjarlias, Kaelyn Smith and Quinn Motichka — on two teams.

Columbia Falls — Ryley Kehr and Trista Cowan — and Libby — Sammee Breeden and Khalyn Hageness — both have two on different teams. There is one player each from Eureka — Avory Escobar — and Ronan — Gabriell Wirtz.

Veteran Libby coach Dean Thompson will coach the Army team, which includes Mohl and Kehr.
