Twins A sweep Cranbrook; winning streak at 5 games

WHITEFISH — The Glacier Twins A pushed their winning streak to five games Saturday evening with an American Legion baseball doubleheader sweep of Cranbrook A at Memorial Field.

Nathan Hader limited Cranbrook to four hits as the Twins rolled to a 12-2 victory in Game 1. He pitched 4 2/3 innings, striking out seven and walking three.

Glacier had 11 hits, seven for extra bases. Glacier tallied five runs in the first and fifth innings and scored twice in the third.

Caleb Meehan, Forrest Kobelt, Dan Seymour, Coby Clark-Dickenson, Terek Bistodeau and Jay Tyree all doubled once.

Tom Hellwig homered in the third inning.

Meehan and Kobelt had two hits each.

Nine different Twins accounted for 10 hits in the 17-2 Game 2 victory.

Bistodeau, 2 for 2, had two RBIs. Morrison and Kobelt also had two RBIs each.

Bistodeau went the first four innings, allowing five hits, striking out seven and walking three en route to the win.

Glacier scored in every inning with an eight-run third the game changer.

Both games were shortened to five innings by the run rule.

Glacier is back in action Tuesday hosting the Missoula Mavs A for a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m.
