David Roy Lawrence, 61

David Roy Lawrence, 61, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on April 7, 1957, in Polson, to James Elmer and Helen Fracene (Morigeau) Lawrence. David was raised in Kalispell where he attended Flathead High School and graduated in 1975.

David was a logger for 20-plus years and a carpenter by trade. He loved camping, hunting and, in general, loved being in the woods and took every opportunity he could to be there.

He married Kathy Turner in 1976 until 1981, and they had one child. In 1982 he then met and married Patty Mellem Gronley, had three children, and remained married until 2015.

David was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Francine Smith.

He is survived by his children, Brandon Lawrence of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Mandy Lawrence, Kyle Lawrence and Austin Lawrence, all of Kalispell. He is also survived by his brother Jim Lawrence, and sister Heidi Currier. He also leaves behind his partner Cheyenne, numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, loved ones and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 21, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.
