Flathead Lake Festival of Art kicks off in Polson

The Polson Bay shoreline will be full of fine arts and crafts next weekend during the 4th annual Flathead Lake Festival of Art on Saturday. July 28 and Sunday, July 29.

This two-day juried festival will feature the work of 30 local artisans in Polson’s Sacajawea Park.

The show will include a broad array of paintings, jewelry, clay, glass, sculpture, photography, wood and more.

Native American flute maker, David Webb, and wood artist, Nathan Eyre, will display their creations and also entertain with flute, guitar and voice.

Come by land or by sea — the festival is just north of U.S. 93 and the bridge over the south end of Flathead Lake. Public parking and boat slips are available at the historic Salish Hotel and the City Dock.

The art festival begins at 10 a.m. each morning and ends at 5 p.m. on Saturday and at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The event is free to the public and appropriate for all ages.

The Flathead Lake Festival of Art is produced by the non-profit, all-volunteer Sandpiper Art Gallery on Main Street in Polson. Profits from the annual show help fund gallery operating expenses and community outreach art programs in Lake County and the surrounding area.
