Four hits for Seymour, Bistodeau as Twins A upend Lakers A 10-6
Dan Seymour, 4 for 4, and Terek Bistodeau, 4 for 5, powered a potent Glacier Twins A offensive showing in a 10-6 ™victory over the Kalispell Lakers A on Friday evening in American Legion baseball action at Griffin Field.
Glacier pounded out 15 hits by six different players. Ryan Veneman, Coby Clark-Dickenson and Tom Hellwig had two hits each.
Hellwig and Dan Seymour had doubles.
Glacier tallied two runs in the first, second and fourth innings. The Twins added three in the sixth and one in the seventh.
The Lakers were scoreless until a two-run fourth. A run followed in the fifth and the Lakers closed the gap with three runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Kalispell stranded 14 base runners to eight for Glacier.
Ben Corriveau, 2 for 5, and Grant Marsh, 2 for 3, were the top hitters for the Lakers.
The two teams play a single game again today at 3 p.m. in Whitefish at Memorial Field.

BILLINGS — Two of the top AA teams in the state needed extra innings twice to settle a doubleheader at Dehler Park on Thursday.
The Lakers (34-14 overall, 13-7 league) scored twice in the top of the seventh to force extra innings in the opener. The Royals (40-12, 13-6) pulled out the victory in the bottom of the ninth when Connor Polkowske scored from second on an infield hit by Sam Evenson with two outs.
The Lakers claimed a victory in Game 2 with a run in the top of the eighth.
The Lakers led 2-0 after three innings, but the Royals tied it up with a run in the fifth and sixth.
The Lakers had eight hits in both outings.
AJ Jones was 2 for 3 in the first game while Randy Stultz and Logan Siblerud were both 2 for 4.
Stultz and Smith both doubled in the second game.
Smith picked up the win on the mound in the finale. He went the distance, allowing seven hits, walking one batter and striking out four.
Siblerud was the starting pitcher in the opener. He went seven innings, allowing four hits, five walks and striking out seven.
Drew Scherrer went the final 1 2/3 innings and took the loss.
The Lakers conclude regular-season play today with a home doubleheader at Griffin Field versus the Butte Miners AA at 2 p.m.
Kalispell hosts the AA state tournament, which begins July 28th.
