Patt “Buffy” Clay, 65

Patt (Buffy) Clay passed away on July 19 in Kalispell, Montana.

Patt was born on October 15, 1952 in Pocatello, Idaho to C.W. and Hazel Cullen.

Patt met her one true love and soul mate, Kenny Clay in 1968, and they married a year later in Kalispell. Patt and Kenny went on to have two children, Mike and Angela.

Patt and Kenny spent several years playing and singing in their band, Fool’s Gold. Performing in Fool’s Gold was their love but also enjoyed by many at taverns and community events throughout the valley.

Together, Patt and Kenny ran several businesses throughout the Flathead Valley. After Kenny’s passing, Patt went on to own Patt’s Jewelry in Kalispell and finally retired in 2015.

Patt enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and gatherings with her siblings.

Patt was preceded in death by Kenny and her mother, brothers Michael and Rex. Patt leaves behind her father, her son, Mike and wife Windy, her daughter Angela, siblings Ricky, K.C., Tim, Maggie, Theresa, Terry, Cliff and Barbara. In addition to her children and siblings, Patt leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

The family will hold graveside services at The Conrad Cemetery at 641 Conrad Drive in Kalispell at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 24.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
