| July 25, 2018 4:00 AM

Terrence “Terry” Charles Brick, 58, of Kalispell, passed away at his home on Friday, July 20, 2018.

Terry was born on Feb. 26, 1960, to Joe and Carole Brick in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. The family moved to Montana where Terry attended Fairmont-Egan, St. Matthew’s and Flathead High School.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Brick.

Terry is survived by his wife, Carla; daughter, Nicole; parents, Carole Lewis and stepfather Don Lewis, of Kalispell; sister, Jill Eaton (Dennis Preston) of Marion; and nephew, Chad Eaton.

Hailing from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, drummer Terry Brick played locally with “Gladys Friday,” Scott Free,” “Haug dynasty” (Silly Peterson family and Kenny Lee Lewis from the Steve Miller Band), (Craig) “Sarton and Srick” and Toby Stone.

Having started his entertainment career as a professional dancer, Terry then toured the world for 23 years with various bands. He has 21 album appearances, and has opened for, or performed with, luminaries from the rock, country and Christian music scenes. His performance credits include Bob Seger, Bonnie Raitt, Robert Cray, Chris LeDoux and Danny Danielson. He was also a contract-civilian drummer for the Department of Defense.

Terry trained as a nurse at Rhode Island College (RIC). He worked in ER/flight nurse, orthopedics, geriatrics, and spent 14 years at Pathways Treatment Center in Kalispell.

He and his sister, Jill, wrote the musical “Claiming America.” This play consisted of five vignettes from the Bible and began touring regionally. “Claiming America” brought live theater/music to rural areas. Terry and other local, professional musicians wrote and recorded the music for the play which featured a live band at each performance.

Terry will be remembered for his great sense of humor and willingness to pay it forward during difficult times. His dedication to effective recovery touched many lives. He is deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

A celebration of life will be held later.
