Mary Feller, 94

Mary Feller passed away July 24, 2018.

Mary was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, to Albert Charles and Blanche Mary Jefferis. She was the second youngest of the six children. Mary joined the Canadian Women’s Army Corps at the age of 19.

Mary married Carl Christiansen in 1943 and they had four boys. They were married 20 years. In 1967 she married Norman “Gene” Feller and they were married until his passing in 2012.

Mary enjoyed many outdoor activities including camping, hunting and fishing. She enjoyed the years she spent at the home they built up Truman Creek and raising her horses. Mary and Gene moved to Lynden, Washington, in 1984 and they resided there until Gene’s passing in 2012. At that time, she moved back to Kalispell and resided at Timber Creek Village in Columbia Falls for four years until her dementia advanced, at which time she moved to Beehive Homes in Kalispell until her passing.

Mary was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1947 and continued to be a devout member.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, stillborn daughter Mary Jean Christiansen, her son Gordon Feller, and her siblings.

Mary is survived by her sons Ken Feller, Gary Christiansen and spouse Nan, and Randy Feller and spouse Jeanette. She was also blessed with six grandchildren.

An open house viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. this evening, July 27, at Darlington Cremation and Burials Service, 3408 U.S. Hwy. 2 East, Kalispell, Montana. Grave dedication will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, at Glacier Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Kalispell.
