Eldon D. 'Whitey' Blumer, 88
Eldon D. “Whitey” Blumer, 88, “left our earthly world” on Nov. 27, 2017, “to enter heaven for a reunion with our Lord and some of his family.”
Born Aug. 28, 1929, in Peerless, Montana, he was the fifth son of Jonathan Blumer and Frances (Starr) Blumer.
He was a master mechanic, and invented the Prairie Rock Press to crush rocks. He paved streets and highways. In 1960 moved to Kennewick, Washington and started his construction business again. In 1983 his first wife, Kitty, passed away, and 10 years later (1993) he moved to California. In 1996 he married his second wife, Ellen.
Eldon was a wonderful and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaves behind his second wife, Ellen; four sons, Terry (Janet) of Maryland, Randy of Washington, Robin (Jan) of Arizona, and Tim (Janice) of Oregon; 10 grandchildren, Meryka, Tanya, Heidi, Kasey, Dane, Kristie, Justine, Kurtis, Jordan and Jillian; four great-grandchildren, Payton, Keely, Gavin and Kale; brother, Larry (Rose); sister, Blanche; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery, 641 Conrad Road, Kalispell.
