‘Shipwrecked’ Vacation Bible School

Christ Lutheran Church in Whitefish will host a “Shipwrecked” Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon June 11-15.

The church at 5150 River Lakes Parkway welcomes children from 4 years through 6th grade.

Interfaith Peace service returns

A second Interfaith Peace service will be held on Wednesday, June 6 at 6:30pm at the United Way Gathering Space in the Gateway Community Mall, 1203 Highway 2 West in Kalispell.

April’s service brought clergy from at least 13 congregations throughout the Flathead Valley together with residents from various backgrounds in a non-religious, non-denominational space to allow people of any faith leaning or no faith at all to share in the experience.

The service includes prayers from multiple faith traditions as well as hymns and a Hebrew peace song.

Stillwater Free Lutheran Church Community Fair

Stillwater Free Lutheran Church on Church Drive in West Valley is hosting a Community Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 9.

Teams of four to six players will compete in a knockerball tournament from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $50 per team.

Other highlights include human foosball, face painting, Old-Time Portraits, petting zoo, water park, Serious JuJu Skateboarding Ministry and Special Touch Ministries, a bake sale, rummage sale, raffles for a ‘73 Chevelle and a quilt, cotton candy, concessions and more.

All proceeds will go to the new activities center, which is being built next to the church.
