Micah the Lab looking for way home
A male chocolate Lab, Micah, was still looking for a way home after a Flathead County Sheriff’s deputy texted the number on his collar and received no response. The dog was going to be taken to the county animal shelter.
Someone called to report a reckless driver behind the wheel of a black Chevy truck hauling a small camper. The driver was apparently swerving in and out of traffic, cutting people off and then motioning others to pass him.
A woman came to the Kalispell Police Department to report being a fraud victim. She received a fake check in the mail, then sent the same person money from her checking account.
Someone called to report a dog that barks non-stop whenever she is outside in her yard. She believed it is against the homeowner association’s code for the dog to bark like that.
A person with the area Agency on Aging called to report receiving a call from a couple that two well-dressed people in their 30s came to their door about Medicare changes. They reportedly pestered and called them. An officer called and left a message with the people and requested extra patrols in the area.
A woman called to make sure she wasn’t in danger because a police car was parked in front of her job location. She was told she should be fine because there was nothing “dangerous” going on there.
A person called to report a thin, older man with gray hair had passed a $100 counterfeit bill. The person collected the man’s information and an officer collected the bill.
Someone called to report a person camping in Northridge Park and believed the person could be a danger to neighborhood children. An officer determined the complaint was unfounded. The person who called also requested that a picnic table underneath a tree be moved back to its usual location.
A person called to report a man standing at the window. The person said the man tried to assault him and has been antagonizing him since then. An officer explained how the person could get a temporary restraining order and told the man he was not welcome on the property.
Someone called to report her husband’s cellphone had been stolen from an area store. She was tracking it and could see it was “moving” on U.S. 93. An officer made contact with the person who claimed to have found the phone. They got it back and returned it to the man.
An officer stopped a dark-colored Subaru that didn’t have license plates on it. It turned out to be a mechanic who didn’t realize it didn’t have plates.
