Now we know who let the dogs out

Someone called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report three loose dogs. As it were, the owner’s 5-year-old daughter accidentally let them out. An officer informed the owners of county animal ordinances and said they’d retrieve their dogs.

A woman called to report that a homeless man who may have stolen her electric lawnmower. She said she last saw it in her shed a few days ago.

Someone called to report possible drug deals in her Whitefish neighborhood. The caller said it was an ongoing issue with vehicles stopping in the area.

A Kalispell police officer worked with a woman and her 14-year-old daughter after the mother called to report the girl’s ex-boyfriend was harassing her by text messages. The ex-boyfriend was told to cease all communications with the girl and she was given an application for a temporary restraining order.

A man who was arrested Saturday afternoon came to the police department to retrieve his bike and his money.

A fight between a man and a woman apparently ended amicably when the person who reported the incident said it appeared they left together.

A person declined to file charges, but wanted a woman removed from the store after she took a 99 cents bowl of chili into the bathroom.

A person called from the parking lot of an area business to report a possible drunk driver. The person called because the driver was revving his engine and spinning his tires. The person said the driver many be drunk “because sober people don’t do that.” An officer was unable to locate the vehicle after it left the area.

Someone called to report a woman putting cosmetics in her purse. The woman was later removed from the store.

A woman called to report being harassed after she got into her with her service dog and saw that someone had written a vulgar phrase on her window. She was frightened and asked for an officer to respond. The officer determined the incident was between tenants and landlords and it was being taken care of.

A woman called to report that a man she has a temporary restraining order against had signed her up on several online dating services and posted her photos. She reported that her phone was overloaded with men responding and sending her emails.

A man called to report being chased by two vicious dogs. The man wasn’t hurt, but he wanted animal control to know because the dogs should be contained.
