Officials ID Bigfork man killed in crash

Officials have identified the man who died in a single-vehicle accident June 8 in Bigfork.

According to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry, victim was Timothy Mark Snyder, 57, from Bigfork.

The crash occurred at about 9 p.m. at the intersection of Montana 35 and Montana 83. Snyder was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle.

According to Curry, he failed to negotiate the turn from Montana 83 on to Montana 35 and struck a tree. He was not wearing a seat belt. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, Curry said.

The crash is under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol.
