The Big Sky Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society will be presenting Whitefish Woody Weekend VII on the weekend of June 22-24, 2018. Whitefish Woody Weekend is one of the premier classic boat events, attracting award winning classic wood boats from all across the Pacific Northwest, and one of the signature summer events in Whitefish. The event, hosted by the Lodge at Whitefish Lake, will feature 42 classic wood boats from all over the Pacific Northwest, California and Canada, including 21 boats new to Whitefish Woody Weekend.

Marking the unofficial beginning of summer, Whitefish Woody Weekend VII will begin on Friday evening June 22 with a cruise and parade around beautiful Whitefish Lake.

The classic boats will be on public display at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 23. Sunday morning, June 24, will feature a poker run with the wood boats out on the lake followed by a barbecue on the beach at the Lodge for event participants.

The show is fun for all ages. The public is encouraged to join the fun on the lake or on the beaches, decks and docks around the lake for the Friday evening cruise; or to enjoy the boats up close and met the owners of these fine representatives of the art and craftsmanship of the past on Saturday at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake Marina.

There will also be classic boat water skiing exhibitions and hourly drawings for a free classic boat ride throughout the day on Saturday. All events are free and open to the public. For more information contact Tim Salt at 862-5085 or whitefishwoodyweekend@gmail.com.
