Eva Agnes Tetrault, 95

Eva Agnes Tetrault, 95, passed away at the Heritage Place, Kalispell, on May 6, 2018, after a long illness.

Eva was born Feb. 17, 1923, in Kalispell, to Dolard A. Tetrault and Minnie Haberman Tetrault.

She attended school in Whitefish, and graduated from high school in 1941. She went on to graduate from the University of Montana in 1950 with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. In 1958 she joined the Sisters of Mercy Convent in Rapid City, Iowa, and served there as Sister Mary Lois.

Eva returned to Kalispell in 1974 to care for her ailing mother and began teaching music at St. Matthew’s Catholic School where she remained until her retirement.

She was an accomplished musician, teaching violin and viola to many students in the area. Her love for her students, music and her faith filled her life.

Eva was a lifelong member of St. Matthew’s Parish, Kalispell.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. June 25 at St. Matthew’s Parish, followed by Mass at noon on June 26.

She is survived by local cousin Frank Tetrault and several members of the Sundelius families.

Memorials may be made to St. Matthew’s Catholic School or a charity of choice.
