Skunk just wants to help with the yard work

A woman called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Department looking for help in how to deal with two baby skunks that were following her around when she went outside to do yard work. The woman said one skunk had been trapped and moved, but the other three were still roaming free.

A person called to report someone had unloaded a bunch of garbage on the side of the road on Four Mile Drive. The county road department said it would take care of it.

A caller reported a brindle-colored mastiff charging bicycle riders on the Foys to Blacktrail Trail.

Someone called to report that a teenager used a crowbar to smash out several car windows and then left it sitting beside the vehicle.

A man called the Kalispell Police Department to report his neighbor running a power saw until midnight, three nights in a row. An officer spoke to the man, who said he’d stop for the night.

A person called to report two men who reached behind a counter and stole “chew.” The alleged crime was caught on security camera footage.

A man called to report someone had put sugar in his gas tank and slashed two tires.

A person called to report seeing a small, black dog in a black Subaru with the windows rolled up. The dog was panting.

A caller said a man threw money at a store owner, then a McFlurry at the wall and threatened the person on his way out the door. The person said the man was trying to steal soda and when he was confronted about it, he “flipped out.”

Someone called the Whitefish Police Department to ask how long dogs could be left in an apartment. The caller said the dogs are left inside the apartment for about eight hours a day.
