Couple tussles over Disney classic
A married couple was reportedly fighting over the Disney movie “Little Mermaid” according to the husband, who called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. He alleged his wife had hit him more than two dozen times. He apparently had been drinking heavily. Both the husband and wife admitted to pushing each other, but nothing else. The wife just wanted her husband to sleep downstairs.
Kids were shooting off fireworks near Conrad Drive or Shady Lane.
A road rage incident on U.S. 93 south of Kalispell reportedly involved a driver in an older, orange-colored Subaru yelling at the caller as he drove by and following him. The ticked-off driver did stop following before the person made it to the police department.
A brown miniature pinscher and a small, white husky ran from a vehicle. The husky was taken to the animal shelter, but the pinscher was still on the loose.
A hiker with blisters on his feet called to say he couldn’t walk any longer and wanted to be picked up. He said he took the train into Whitefish before beginning his journey on foot.
A woman said someone had entered her unlocked home and stole several items, including jewelry and clothes. The woman believed two of her cousins had done it.
Several transients and their dogs were apparently bothering customers inside a store on U.S. 2 near Kalispell.
A women who was being released from the county jail was told to pick up her guinea pig at an animal hospital after it had experienced an animal emergency.
A Columbia Falls caller had some questions about ordinances involving peacocks.
A driver was seen holding a beer.
A person reported an injured dog that didn’t appear to be taken care of. It was lame in its left hind leg. The dog was later taken to the county animal shelter.
Checks were stolen from a woman’s mailbox.
A man called to report someone had thrown a water bottle at his wife while they were riding their bikes on Farm-to-Market Road in Whitefish. The vehicle was reportedly a blue, older Toyota pickup.
A man said his brother was wandering through his property at night. His brother was armed with a handgun and he wanted to make sure officers knew about him because of his violent tendencies.
A person called to report that her dog bit a woman. He went to the emergency room. The woman said her dog was current with its rabies shots.
A man called the Columbia Falls Police Department after he was briefly pinned between two vehicles after trying to start one of them. He said he had to start his truck from under the hood and it must have been in drive when he did. The vehicle took off and pinned him between the other, but he was able to get out.
Two neighbors who previously shared a boyfriend got into a disagreement that involved bleach being poured on flowers and ash being flicked onto a porch. An officer told both women to leave each other alone.
