Architects to discuss Sperry rebuild
The discussion of Sperry Chalet’s future will continue with an open house next week in Columbia Falls.
Glacier National Park is currently exploring four different options for reviving the burned-out chalet. After a well-attended public meeting last week, the park and the Glacier National Park Conservancy will host Anderson Hallas Architects to discuss their work.
The Colorado-based architectural firm worked on the recent renovation of the Many Glacier Hotel, and is preparing the conceptual designs for the Sperry rebuild. At Tuesday’s event, Anderson Hallas employees will discuss the lodge’s historic architecture, factors they’re taking into account and next steps in the design process.
Attendees will be able to ask questions and leave comments on the four options being considered.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Cedar Creek Lodge Grand Ballroom. Those unable to attend in person can view it as a Facebook Live event, entitled “Sperry Chalet Open House with Anderson Hallas Architects.”
