Mailbox massacre by baseball bat
Between residents of Helena Flats Road and Creston Hatchery Road, the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received reports that around 20 homes experienced mailbox vandalism on the same night. One resident reportedly saw the culprit and their license plate number. The resident claimed the suspect(s) was/were male and had taken a bat to the mailboxes before speeding away from the scene at around 2:30 a.m.
A Good Samaritan reportedly found a man lying in the middle of Airport Road and stopped to check on him. The man reportedly said he’d gotten tired while walking to Kalispell and stopped to rest. The driver offered to give the man a lift but reportedly dropped him off at a bar in town after the man reportedly stated he wished his father would “hurry up and die.”
A dark colored suburban was reportedly seen lingering around multiple residences on or near Swan River Road in the wee hours of the morning over the last week.
A property owner reported a break-in after allegedly evicting the property’s former residents. The owner allegedly boarded up the residence but found the boards torn off the door and the house destroyed the next morning.
A large dump truck parked on Dillon Road reportedly caught fire unexpectedly. A witness reported multiple explosions erupting from the flaming truck and believed they were exploding paint cans.
An eighth-grader reported got caught with a stash of marijuana in his locker at school.
