School calendar

- Sixty-day passes to The Wave in Whitefish will be sold for $50 from March 11-24 with proceeds benefiting the Whitefish High School annual graduation party. Passes may be purchased in the high school main office, Sprouts, Bulldog Saloon and Stumptown Art Studio. People must be at least 18 to buy passes. Passes must be redeemed within 30 days of purchase. - The 4-H Interstate Exchange spaghetti supper and dessert auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. March 10 at the Eagles, 37 First St. W. in Kalispell. Cost is $6 per person or $20 for a family of four. Proceeds will benefit the 4-H Interstate Exchange program. This year, 4-H members from Flathead County will exchange with Delaware 4-H members from New Castle County.

- Robin Kelson of the Good Seed Co. will lead a Flathead Grows seed library workshop from 10 a.m. to noon March 10 in the Imagine IF meeting room in Kalispell. Participants will learn the basics of growing long-season vegetables from seed.

- Smith Valley School will host a Child Find screening from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. March 12. No appointment is necessary. Children will be screened in hearing, vision, speech and language skills to identify or evaluate disabilities. The screening is free and open to Kila, Smith Valley and Marion families. - Mully Night will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 15 at Muldown Elementary School in Whitefish. There will be carnival games, activities and prizes. Game tickets will be available for purchase at the event.

- Bigfork High School student artwork will be for sale at the Healing through Art silent auction fundraiser March 13-20 at the Bigfork Art and Cultural Center. The public is invited to meet artists at a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. March 16.

- The Annual Montana Council of Teachers of Mathematics Northwest Regional math competition will be held March 15 at Flathead Valley Community College. The competition is open to seventh through 12th graders. Interested students should contact his or her respective school to find out of the school is participating and to sign up. - Fair-Mont-Egan students will have an early release at 1:30 p.m. March. 16.

- Bigfork Middle School students are invited to attend a dance from 6 to 8 p.m. March 16.

- An eighth-grade girls camp-in is scheduled at West Valley School from 6 p.m. March 16 to 9 a.m. March 17.

- The Flathead Valley Eighth-Grade Honor Band Festival featuring top student musicians from six schools will be held at 6:30 p.m. March 22 at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center. Students will premiere “Going to the Sun,” a piece composed by guest conductor, and Whitefish High School alumni, Russ Newbury. The concert is free an open to the public.

- A teen social at ImagineIF in Kalispell is planned from 4 to 5:30 p.m. March 22. For teens in grades sixth through 12th. The craft will be “Ice Cream in a Bag.”

- Kalispell Parks and Recreation will hold its Spring Out Camp from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. March 26-30 at Elrod Elementary. Cost is $30 per day. For more information call 758-7975.

- Most schools have spring break March 26-30. Smith Valley’s spring break will go through April 2.

- March 30 is the deadline to register for the Kalispell Parks and Recreation spring soccer program for children in kindergarten through fourth grade. Participants will learn skills and scrimmage once a week April 25 through May 30. Cost is $37. For more information call 758-7848.

- Columbia Falls High School parent-teacher conferences are set from 4 to 7 p.m. April 5.

- There is no school in Creston on April 6 to prepare for the annual Creston Auction.

- April 6 is the deadline to register for the Kalispell Parks and Recreation rookie soccer program. Children ages 3-4 will learn the fundamentals and a parent is required to participate with his or her child. Sessions are held once a week April 25 through May 30. Cost is $32. - A kindergarten roundup is set on April 10 at Olney-Bissell School.

- Columbia Falls Junior High parent-teacher conferences will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. April 12.

- Cayuse Prairie students have no school April 16 for teacher training.
