Bozeman girls oust Glacier at Class AA state basketball
BILLINGS — Bozeman pulled away from a tight first half to knock out Glacier in a loser-out contest at the Class AA state girls basketball tournament on Saturday morning at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark.
Glacier (14-11) led 25-24 at the intermission, but Bozeman outscored the Wolfpack after that 28-16 to advance to the third/forth place game in the afternoon versus Helena Capital. Bozeman pulled out a 34-32 win in that one.
Anna Schrade topped Glacier in scoring with 12 points. Ayla Embry led Bozeman with 17.
Glacier shot 35 percent from the field (13 of 37) and was 14 of 27 at the free-throw line.
Bozeman also shot 35 percent (10 of 28), but was 29 of 39 in the free-throw department.
Glacier outrebounded Bozeman 31-22. Schrade had seven to lead with Alivia Atlee next with five.
