Thorough test drive worries seller
The case was closed on a possibly stolen vehicle after it was reportedly returned following an extended test drive. Kalispell Police Department initially received a report from a man who said he was selling his vehicle and a buyer, who was supposed to take it for a test drive around the block, allegedly hadn’t brought it back after an hour had passed.
Someone reported finding a duffel bag stuffed under a dumpster that contained multiple driver’s licenses, Social Security and bank cards from different people.
Someone was suspicious that a man may have been on drugs when spotted “bouncing all around and couldn’t sit still,” in a pickup.
A man called police and said another man was purportedly “leering” at two young girls walking into a store. The caller alleged the man, who was driving a vehicle, followed them to the park before he confronted the man who drove away. Police officers talked to the driver who reportedly told them the caller had threatened to “kick his [expletive,]” that he had not “seen the little girls” described, and had no idea why the caller was so angry.
Someone reported a reckless driver and allegedly said while the person was not speeding or swerving was “just being a [expletive]” by pulling in front of a vehicle and turning left almost causing an accident.
A landlord was concerned that two motorcycles left by renters who moved out may be stolen.
A man may have found a tool at a pawn shop that had supposedly been stolen more than a year ago from a construction site in Sanders County, but had not been reported to police at the time.
A woman called police to report that an intoxicated man refused to leave a casino and was reportedly yelling at people and saying he would put her on social media because she was kicking him out.
A parent reported his or her son’s vehicle had been tagged with something that looked like spray paint, but washed off. The parent said they spotted a boy standing by the vehicle the previous night and when they yelled at the teen, he jumped into an old “crappy” vehicle and took off.
Someone wanted police to be aware of a supposed increase in bus traffic on a road with a sign that reportedly read “no trucks or buses allowed.” The person also complained of fast cars and buses, and that there were no speed limit signs on Northern Lights Boulevard.
An irate resident wanted advice about a man attempting to serve papers from an unpaid medical bill and was allegedly scaring kids by waiting outside their house for 45 minutes, banging on the door and looking into the windows.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from a man who wanted a woman removed from a house because she was allegedly “tearing the residence up and refusing to leave.”
Someone reported a black diesel truck and a “white neon car” were reportedly “racing through and almost hitting people.”
