James “Jim” Carlyle Roberts, 62

Jim passed away on March 22, 2018, at his home in Columbia Falls.

Jim was born to James and Janet (McGraw) Roberts on Aug. 8, 1955, in Sidney. Jim had three younger brothers, Scott, Craig and Kerry, and one sister Tana. The family moved to Kalispell in 1959. As a young boy, he attended Peterson school during his elementary years and graduated from Flathead High School in 1973.

Jim met his wife Marla Underwood at the Hideout in Kalispell. They married on Aug. 14, 1976.

Jim spent his life working 32 years for the Montana Department of Transportation.

The best part of Jim’s life was spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing, hunting and watching sporting events.

Jim is survived by his wife, Marla; his children, Misty (Malachi), James “JJ” (Heather), Dallas and Grant (Brianne); as well as his grandchildren, Dylan, Mahala, James Riley, Noah, Zach and Jonah.

There will be a visitation for Jimmy from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, March 26, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home, with services to follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Casey Higgins will be officiating.The family then invites you to join them for a potluck at the Kalispell Seventh Day Adventist Church at 1185 Old Reserve Drive. You are welcome to bring a potluck dish to share if you wish.
