The Bigfork County Water and Sewer District will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, March 28 to allow for public comment on the on-going Wastewater System Preliminary Report.

The district’s consulting engineer, Jeff Cicon with Morrison-Maierle, will provide an overview of the facility planning process, summarize the existing and future conditions and discuss deficiencies of the wastewater system.

This public meeting will be the first of three to be held over the next couple months, according to Cicon, as part of an application for state funding of projects needed to improve wastewater structures around Bigfork.

One of the district’s top priorities, Cicon said, is a project that would replace the bay sewer main, which he said has developed structural problems that prevent it from draining properly and could potentially cause major problems to the surrounding businesses and buildings if not addressed.

Cicon will cover this and other proposed projects in his presentation and welcomes input from the community.

Public attendance is encouraged at the meeting starting at 7 p.m. at the District Office, 108 Harbor Heights Blvd., Bigfork.
