A person called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report a bunch of kids driving back and forth on 9th Street playing loud “boomity boom” music. The person wanted them stopped and cited for disturbing the peace. It was not known what type of car was involved, but police said they would continue extra patrols.

Someone called to report a third-grader who wouldn’t stay in class and kept running out of the school. The child eventually agreed to stay in school.

A person called to report a woman who was allegedly holding a sign that said “Abandoned, can anyone please help?” An officer checked the situation and found the woman was holding a sign that said “Stranded.” She was looking for handouts but was now fine, her U-Haul was full of gas, and she was on her way.

Someone called to report a man who appeared to be drunk who kept attempting to get the person to sell him more alcohol.

A person called to report a woman was allegedly driving drunk on 8th Street. The person said she was nearly hit by the driver. The woman followed the driver, spoke with her and said she could smell alcohol on her breath.

A person working construction in the Columbia Falls area accidentally called 911 on their Apple watch.

A woman called the Kalispell Police Department to report her sister had a loaded gun and shot into the crawl space because she believes there are people living there who are poisoning her. Police investigated and will follow up.

A person called to report someone had stolen some scooters from him. Shortly after, some kids about 10 years old walked into the store with the scooters and returned them to the owner.

A passerby reported finding a black makeup bag near an area business. It contained needles and a spoon. Police collected two empty syringes and took them to the department for safe disposal.

Someone called to report a possible fight in a parking lot, but when police arrived, there was apparently no one fighting, just some juveniles messing around.

A child called 911 because he was upset his father had taken his iPod from him. Police spoke with the father and the child and determined everything was OK.

A man was seen at the entrance of a store, throwing items and chairs around. The person reporting said he wasn’t making much sense and said he was going to kill someone. The person asked police to check on him since he was very volatile, carrying weapons and dragging a dog by the leash.

Someone called to report that two Columbia Falls people who were dog-sitting for her have refused to return her Chihuahua mix, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

A person called to report a black and white border collie at large that may have been chasing and attacking a deer near a burned-out house with several broke-down campers and two junked-out trailers. A state Fish, Wildlife and Parks ranger said there were five dead deer in the area, but there wasn’t enough evidence to know if it was a wild animal or dog. A trap was to be set in the area.

A woman called with questions and started swearing at the dispatcher after she was told she needed to speak to her attorney. She asked to speak to the sergeant on duty and her questions were answered.

Someone called to report that a man driving a red, beat-up truck was speeding, driving recklessly, yelling at her and giving her the finger on Evergreen Drive.

Officers spoke to two men who were allegedly stepping into traffic to flag down passing vehicles. They were warned to stay off the road.

Someone called to report suspicious activity at a cabin in Coram. The person said the owner lived in California and believed methamphetamine was being sold there earlier this year. The person wanted the activity shared with the drug task force.

Deputies investigated a report of three vehicles that were apparently broken into overnight and had items taken from each one.

A man called to report an alleged reckless driver in a black Nissan who sprayed him with gravel when he drove past and did doughnuts.

Someone called to report a possible case of animal cruelty involving a very skinny horse at a Columbia Falls location. A deputy said there would be a follow-up on the report.

A female inmate at the jail reported she had information on a missing person/suspected homicide case. The message was relayed to county detectives.
