Glacier netters ease to victories over Flathead

Glacier got the better of its crosstown rival for the second time this season on the tennis courts, besting Flathead 6-2 in girls matches and 7-1 in boys competition on Tuesday afternoon.

Maria Frampton led the Glacier girls from the No. 1 position, winning in straight sets without losing a game. Nina Friedman and Kari Inabnit also picked up singles wins for the Wolfpack.

Flathead’s wins came courtesy of Emma Hawkins in singles and Hailey Fennell and Sierra Dilwoeth in doubles.

Ryan Thomson claimed the Braves’ only boys win in his No. 3 singles match.

Rory Smith, Ryan Kelly and Micah Heil all cruised to straight-sets victories for Glacier in singles play.

The Wolfpack met no resistance in doubles competition, sweeping all four matches without much of a challenge.

POLSON — Polson and Whitefish each enjoyed dominant performances in a matchup of Northwest A foes.

The Polson girls cruised to a 5-1 win over the Bulldogs, and the Whitefish boys emerged a 6-1 victor over the Pirates.

Shea McGuinness and Josie Peterson breezed to comfortable wins in girls singles play for Polson. Aubrey Hanks and Olivia Potthoff picked up a doubles win for Whitefish’s only point.

Johnny Moore won his No. 1 singles match, but Polson struggled to find success elsewhere in boys play.

Whitefish’s Brendan Buls didn’t lose a game in his singles win.

The Bulldogs swept the three doubles matchs.
