Lakers A take 2 from Bandits

The Kalispell Lakers A team clobbered the Belgrade Bandits A squad 20-0 before eking out a 9-8 win in the nightcap of an American Legion baseball home doubleheader on Saturday.

The Lakers blew Game 1 open with an 11-run second inning.

Reid Barrows did the rest, throwing five innings of scoreless ball with six strikeouts.

The Bandits took an 8-6 lead in the fourth inning of Game 2, but the Lakers stormed back for three runs in the fifth to grab the win.

Payton Davisson led the Lakers at the plate, racking up a combined four hits (all for extra bases) and nine RBIs in the doubleheader.
